The Purewal family farmed in India and then emigrated to the United States in the early 1950’s.  The Family has been farming in the central San Joaquin valley since the early 1970’s, where they grew peaches, plums, raisins, and table grapes in Selma, CA.

Purewal Farms understands that growing excellent fruit begins when the last season ends.  Great emphasis is placed in maintaining the orchards and fields, fertilizing when needed and using drip irrigation ensure there is little waste.   When harvesting, the trees are given special attention in pruning, selective pickings, and using plastic tubs to minimize staining and bruising. In addition, all of Purewal Farms land is Primus Certified to ensure that their land is following the latest and most stringent protocols in the produce industry.

Purewal Farms looks to the future when running their operation, from using state of the art farming techniques as well as taking chances in planting the newest varieties available that have the optimum size, color and flavor.  This helps Purewal Farms stay ahead of curve instead of following it.

Irigoyen Farms started back in 1974 when Jose Irigoyen began growing and packing California vegetables on 3 acres of land. His farming operation grew and in 1990 his three sons joined him. They now farm approximately 700 acres and include shipping in their operation.

Their family owned operation consists of Jose, who is in charge of irrigation. Joseph is responsible for planting and employees while Julian controls packing and quality control. Javier manages the cold storage. The Irigoyens have completed a 5,000 square foot expansion project that includes the addition of two refrigerated dock doors.

The Irigoyens take pride and commitment to provide their customers with only the best vegetables. They have learned that the key to being a successful vegetable operation is maintaining consistent quality throughout the growing season. They are known for their extensive line of specialty vegetables including Asian and Hispanic Vegetables.

All of their ranches are Primus Lab Certified with a 95% rating, as well as Nutri-clean Certified. Their produce is picked, packed, and delivered daily to ensure ultimate freshness.
